If you compare Galala marble with Turkish marble or Crema marfil Spanish marble you will find in very close color and very cheap price.

Galala is the most famous Egyptian stone type. Its quarries are located in Galalah area, Swiss, Egypt. Galala limestone is extracted from many quarries, therefore it has more than 10 different colors, As Galala commercial, Galala Extra, Galala Beige, Galala Cream, ... etc. Each one includes more other colors.

The most famous Galala type is Galala Extra, but even Galala Extra color differs according to the quarry that is extracted from. In other words, its color maybe white with crystals, white with tiger skin, Galala Flower or mixed color Galala.

Galala Features:-

All finishes can be applied on Galala limestone, except flamed.

Note 1: Galala white is not preferred with tumbled finish, because it causes high wastage ratio. But Tumbled finish can be applied on strong materials like Galala cream.

It's preferred the most with epoxy resin treatment.
It can be used in interiors, walls, floors (but not high traffic ones).
It doesn't need Anti-salts treatment.

Material defects:

It's Hard to find one color Galala block, even if it is extracted from the same quarry, except Galala Extra.
Even when we cut the Galala Extra block into slabs, it's hard to find big slab without cracks. For these 2 reasons, Galala Extra costs more than others.
Its water absorption ratio is high, so it's not recommended for high traffic floors, therefore it's recommended only for indoor floors.

Note 2: Most of Galala Extra needs NET in its back, to be more powerful.
